  • Private lessons. If you cancel less than 24hrs in advance you will be charged the full rate for the lesson, subject to receipt of a vet or doctor’s certificate.

  • Clinics. Once clinic times are published refunds are not available, unless a substitute rider of the same level/ability can attend in your place.

  • In the case of extreme weather conditions where it is deemed too dangerous to ride, it must be agreed between coach and rider to rearrange. required to reimburse Diana Burgess Equestrian for the cost of the same (approximately £10).

  • In an attempt to make communication easier - questions can be answered via phone, text, Facebook through

the Diana Burgess Equestrian page, or by WhatsApp.

  • When working with horses, timings do not always go to plan, so if I am for any reason running late I will call or

text you at my earliest convenience.

  • If we are meeting at a hired venue, it is up to the rider to book it and pay the required hire fee to the venue.

  • Should I be unable to attend a session I will let you know as soon as possible with no charge made.

  • All riders under 16yrs old must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the lesson.

The Horse Riders' Code Of Conduct

  • I understand that riding at any standard has inherent risk and that all horses may react unpredictably on occasions.

  • I may fall off and could be injured. I accept that risk.

  • I understand that instructions are given for my safety and agree to follow instructions given to me by the

    instructor.

  • I understand that wearing an appropriate riding hat and body protector may reduce the severity of an injury

should an accident happen and agree that I will always wear a riding hat whist riding.

  • I understand it is my choice whether or not to wear a body protector.

  • I understand that the instructor will make decisions based on information I give them and agree to always be

    honest and volunteer information about:

o my abilities and riding experience
o any previous riding accidents
o any medical condition(s) which may affect my ability to ride.

• I understand that competing carries enhanced risk over and above general riding and agree that if I chose to participate in any competition or event, it is up to me to ensure that I have the experience and ability to ride the course including any jumps which form part of it. If I am in any doubt, I will use my judgement and experience and not enter.

I confirm that to the best of my knowledge, the details I have provided to Diana are correct.

I have read the Horse Riders’ Code of Conduct and I understand that riding at any standard has inherent risk of injury. I accept that risk and agree that the Riding Instructor will not be liable for injury or damage to property unless it is caused by their negligence.

Where agreeing to the terms and conditions on behalf of a minor I have explained them and the Riders’ Code of Conduct to my child and we both accept the risk and agree that the Riding Instructor will not be liable for injury or damage to property unless it is caused by their negligence.
